Cobalt chloride is a red monoclinic crystal that is prone to deliquescence. Melting point 724 ℃, easily soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether, and acetone. Cobalt chloride crystals are stable at room temperature, lose their crystalline water when exposed to heat, and turn blue. In humid air, they turn red again. Its aqueous solution turns blue when heated or concentrated with hydrochloric acid, chloride, or organic solvent. Crystallization occurs at 30-45 ℃ and begins to undergo weathering and turbidity. It is heated at 45-50 ℃ for 4 hours to form tetrahydrates, and when heated to 110 ℃, it becomes anhydrous. Has extremely weak toxicity.

Use to	Cobalt chloride is the main raw material for preparing cobalt tetroxide powder for lithium cobalt oxide batteries. It is used as a paint drying agent, ammonia absorption, wet and dry indicator, electroplating, ceramic colorant, and can also be used for the synthesis of other cobalt salts. Property: Usage: Used in the production of barometers, hydrometers, dry and wet indicators, etc. in instrument manufacturing. The ceramic industry is used as a colorant.
