Since June 2021, Jana Energy and Xi'an Jiaotong University have jointly carried out the research and development of lithium cathode material technology, tackling the difficult problems in the preparation of lithium battery materials, and have achieved phased results. This year, in order to further strengthen the cooperation between schools and enterprises, the two sides decided to establish a "social practice base between Xi'an Jiaotong University and Guangdong Jiana Energy Technology Co., Ltd.", which will make full use of the existing science and innovation platform of Jiana Energy to jointly carry out talent training. The school arranges students to conduct research and teaching activities in enterprises every year, providing them with the opportunity to participate in more social practice activities and grow rapidly in practice.
On December 15, the unveiling ceremony of the "Social Practice Base of Xi'an Jiaotong University and Guangdong Jiana Energy Technology Co., Ltd." was held in the Yingde Base of Jiana Energy. Professor Tang Wei, Associate Professor Shu Chengyong, Xi'an Jiaotong University, and Zheng Jiangfeng, Deputy General Manager of Jiana Energy attended the ceremony.
After the ceremony, the team of Xi'an Jiaotong University and the R&D team of Jiana Energy summarized and evaluated the implementation phase of the first phase of the cooperation project, and discussed the cooperation plan for the next phase of the project.
During the exchange activity, Professor Tang Wei also held a lecture entitled "Research and industrialization progress of Sodium-ion battery" for the technical personnel of Jana Energy. Professor Tang stated that lithium resources are limited and unevenly distributed, with high prices and a serious imbalance between supply and demand. Sodium batteries are an effective supplement to lithium batteries, with outstanding characteristics and wide applications, and have obvious advantages compared to them. This academic exchange activity has opened a new chapter in the joint training of talents by schools and enterprises, providing a window for technical personnel to broaden their horizons and increase their knowledge.
Through this academic exchange, we aim to lay a deeper foundation for promoting technology research and development and joint talent cultivation among universities and enterprises, and create a favorable cooperative atmosphere. The joint construction of a social practice base fully reflects the high importance that schools and enterprises attach to talent cultivation. It is a concrete practice for both sides to promote innovation in industry, academia, and research. It is an effective means to achieve resource sharing, overcome technological difficulties, and promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
